Glimpses of a Great SoulParam Poojaniya Shri Guruji, 1906 Born 19th February - Magha Krishna 11, Shaka 1827 in Nagpur. Only surviving son among 9 children. Affectionately called "MADHU" by mother. Father's name is Shri Sadashiv Balkrishna Golwalkar and Mother's name is Laxmibai (Taijee). Distinctive Features Of Param Poojaniya He was a great scholar, wide and well read. He could talk on any subject with effective participation. His memory power was very remarkable. He was a man with vision - a person who could look into the future and prepare his followers. For instance, he gave a very early warning of Chinese invasion of India (1962) and was the first person to do so boldly. He united various Sants and Sadhus on the platform of Vishwa Hindu Parishad which since 1964 has blossomed into a worldwide organisation. He was a great soul of spirituality. He could have worked for his own salvation (Moksha). Instead he devoted himself to the service of Society. He could mix easily with all age groups and social groups, and win over their affection. He always shunned publicity in spite of his personal magnificent work and achievements. He worked and sacrificed for the good of the Society without desiring publicity-It was his path of life.
